Phone Covid-19 "Home Experiment"
Amid the COVID-19 anxiety, we are all spending, unfortunately, MORE TIME ONLINE that we would like. The situation gets more complicated for PARENTS as schools are closed so now we have our children at home craving for more screen time. At Bagby, we decided to take this opportunity to run a HOME EXPERIMENT with the person we love the most: our 14-month old daughter. The outcome is SHOCKING and it reveals the ULTIMATE PROOF about smartphone addiction. We decided to build something that could help other parents like us, reduce our family's screentime, and more importantly, increase our HUMAN TIME.
"Most children ages 6–12 say they are spending at least 50% more time in front of screens daily".
"Parents need to drastically cut kids' screen time. Children until age 5 should be limited to 1 h per day while kids and teens (age 8 to 18) spend an average of more than 7h a day."
American Heart Association & American Academy of Pediatrics, 2019
"Teens who spend more time than average on screen activities are more likely to be unhappy."
National Institute on Drug Abuse, 2016
"Top technology leaders like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates among other confirmed they've restricted or limited their children's screen time."
New York Times, 2017

The Experiment Explained
ScreenTime is raising heavily across all age groups but specially among children. This trend can reach its peak during COVID-19 with schools closed and parents WFH.
We ran the experiment at home in a random day. We have tested the choices of a 14-month-old kid when put in front of 6 different key elements and a smartphone.
The subject has chosen the smartphone in every attempt. This is the ultimate proof that smartphones are designed to keep up hooked and can impact our future choices.

This is LUNA!
We are a normal family who decided to slow down and focus on our daughter. This is our Story:
After meeting in Spain, we moved to Singapore for work, traveled the world, got married and lived in LA; where Luna was born. Seen the real estate situation there, we decided to slow down, downgrade and moved to Raleigh, NC where we currently enjoy our family time while struggling with screen and addictive technology.
