Bagby is the result of a personal story / experience. The idea was born on Kickstarter on July 2017 to help my wife and a I reconnect to take our relationship to the next level. We realized our phones were taking us away from a mindful and healthy relationship path so I proposed to start a #PhoneFreeBedroomChallenge . Soon after, we discovered the benefits this simple change in behavior could bring to people, especially couples like us, so we decided to create Bagby. Truth be told, we haven’t brought our phones back in the bedroom since.
Back in October 2017, our first and only child was born. This is the reason why our first logo has a baby face.
My name is Juan Sanchez, digital marketing consultant in my previous life and reborn as a digital wellness ambassador.
I know It feels contradictory, but being on one side or the other of the digital distraction equation is often a very narrow line. My background is actually in digital and social media marketing. I hold two master’s degrees in digital marketing and I spent about 12 years both as a freelancer and in the agency world working for international brands around the planet (Spain, France, Luxembourg, Singapore and Southeast Asia, Los Angeles). One day like any other day, I had a wakeup call and I felt that I needed a change; I felt that I wanted to do something more purposeful that can help people. We can say I went from being part of the problem (people creating digital distraction) to focusing on reducing it. I’m not going to lie, somehow, I felt guilty and I wanted to do something to reverse the situation. It’s better late than never.
The interesting thing is that many people I’ve connected with in this new space of digital wellness / wellbeing have gone through a similar process.
As a part of team, we can find my wife, some freelancers and some of my best friends.
We believe people are increasingly disconnected from each other due to smartphone overuse. We dream of a world where products that help us unplug become more common and don't add any unnecessary tech.

At Bagby, we take Earth serious so we have embraced few initiatives to make our products more suitable and eco-friendly:
1) 90% of our packaging (boxes, mailers, wrapping paper) is ECO-FRIENDLY and BIODEGRADABLE. It's MADE IN USA and made of sustainably sourced 100% recycled paper / cardboard. Untreated on both sides, without waxing or coating, it is easy to handle by kids and adults.
2) We launched a fully BIODEGRADABLE version of our "No More Phubbing Bands" in 2019 (made of wood and bamboo) so you can help create a more SUSTAINABLE word while unplugging.
3) We use VOC (Volatile organic compounds) and water-based paint in our alarm-clock collection.
4) Bagby Social, our key solution for families is made of recycled materials and it's vegan. We recycle over 25 plastic bottles for each item and we use faux-leather to hang the boards. Certifications are Global Recycling Standard & OECO Text.

TECHNICAL & PRODUCT
Currently, our original Bagbys are proudly handmade in a small workshop in Argentina. We believe in the value of slow-making.
The rest of solutions are made with materials from different parts of the world (Taiwan, New Zealand, USA, China, Poland, etc.) so we can offer you the best quality at an affordable price.
Our Bagbys (both individual and multi-pocket organizer) fit any phone, smartphone, size, brand, etc, Including XL, MAX, Plus and any new model. Also note that the Bagbys don't have a cover which allow to fit even bigger sizes than this (Up to 7.5" / 19cm). They are also 5+" (13cm) wide so you will be able to fit your phone and sleep better.

We know the bedroom isn't the only place that should be a phone-free zone. For this reason, Bagby includes a removable hook that can be placed anywhere.

SHIPPING & RETURNS
Although we are based in USA (North Carolina), we ship worldwide. We want Bagby to be available all around the world.
We normally use a USPS service for businesses but you might find other options (Fedex, UPS, etc) depending on where you are located. Once we sent your Bagby, you will receive a tracking code to track the status of your order at all times.
We are committed to do good on Earth and the environment.
Currently, we use shipping supplies that are made in USA from 100% Eco-Friendly and recyclable material and we tend to reuse shipping boxes from other sources.
In 2020 we reduced by 90% the plastic we use in our shipping supplies.
This depends on your location. When making the order and filling up your address of delivery, shipping costs will be automatically added to your order. We often offer FREE Shipping nationwide (USA) for orders above $35.
Yes, we do!
Bear in mind we offer 2 shipping options. One with the public postal office service (USPS) which is more affordable but it takes longer (10-25 days) and doesn't show tracking info once the package leaves the USA. This option does only one delivery attempt and hold the package for 10-15 days before they shipping it back. We are not responsible for any return and you will need to cover the shipping cost again if it happens.
A second option (premium) with Fedex / DHL that is faster (2-5 days) and more reliable but cost more.
You can pick either, the package will arrive but we always recommend to go with the second option.
This depends on your local tax code. Any applicable duties/VAT are the sole responsibility of the client, and not our team.
We have absolutely no control over charging each client additional duties/VAT at the time the pre-order is made, and so these fees (if applicable) may be imposed at the time of receiving the package.
If you are unsure whether or not you will be charged duties/VAT at the time of receiving your reward, please get in touch with your local post office.
You can still place your order but we won't be responsible for any related BREXIT issue such as taxes, delays, customs, etc.
There will be no refunds from our part.
We don't expect this to happen but if you are not happy with your order, don't panic! Simply contact us first, before leaving feedback / reviews. You can send us an email including a photo if the item is damaged, etc.
We are a small business, and occasionally make mistakes. Please be patient and know we will do our best to rectify the problem!
Our clients have always kept their orders and loved them. We don't often receive any refund request but if you don't like your Bagby item, we offer easy returns.
- Contact us within 14 days of delivery
- Ship items back within 30 days of delivery
A flat rate of USD 5.95 for individual items and USD 12.95 for sets will be deducted from your refund per item to cover return shipping, handling, and restocking. All returns must be unused and in original condition.
- If the item you received is damaged (for example due to the shipping) or doesn't work properly, you can ask for a refund and we will take care of everything.
- In the unlikely event that an item is returned to us in an unsuitable condition, we may have to send it back to you and you will be responsible for the return shipping cost.
- In case you want to change the model or color, we can do it, but you should assume the return cost (we provide return label) + the new shipping costs to send your new Bagby pack.
- If you want to request a refund for a subjective reason, we can do it, but we will deduct the return cost + the original shipping cost (if it was free) from the total amount
In order to make it easier for you, upon request, we will send you a link where you can download and print the return label.
Once we receive and review the correct condition of the product, we’ll make the whole refund. For non Non USA orders you are responsible for the return shipping cost and the original shipping cost (along with eventual duties/VAT costs, related to the importation of the goods to USA) will be deducted.

We have several years of experience working for large companies and setting up new businesses and projects. While we have been relentlessly concerned with the details throughout prototyping, finding the best materials and planning for production, there is always the chance that omnipresent Murphy guy may make an entrance with that law of his.
That said, we are not responsible for any damages to mobile phones, such as dropped or cracked phones that may happen while putting your phone in Bagby. We ensure Bagby holds up to 2kg. It's designed to be durable and solid, but we cannot control how people put their phones inside a Bagby. Also, although we have tested many surfaces, our hook might leave some marks if your door or wall paint is too old or of low quality.

Yes, at Bagby, we believe in the quality of our solutions, so most of our products come with a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase against all manufacturing defects.

* Silent Alarm Clocks: 6-month warranty, excluding the frame.

Please note that the warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by improper use, lack of care, accidents.
Aesthetic changes due to daily use (labels, scratches, the disappearance of text, etc.).
While we cover the product cost 100%, customers are responsible for both the shipping cost to return the item and get shipped the new replacement. We can provide a more affordable shipping label.
