Is it really silent?

Yes; the movement is a continuous sweep, not a tick-tock step, so there's no second-hand ticking at all. It's quiet enough for the lightest sleeper. The alarm, when it's time, is a separate gentle sound.

What does the alarm sound like?

A gentle, ascending chime. It begins faintly and grows louder until you're awake; soft and intentional, never a shriek. Simple and effective, with nothing to jolt you out of sleep.

Does it need batteries, and are they included?

It runs on a single AA battery that lasts roughly 12 to 24 months. The battery isn't included in the box, so keep one on hand. No cord and no charging; set it anywhere you like.

Can I see the time at night?

There's no glowing face or hands to disturb your sleep. A button on the back lights the dial softly when you want to check the time, then it goes dark again.

What if it's not for me?

You have thirty days to try it. If it's not right, contact us and send it back within 30 days of delivery for a return. We keep the process simple.

Awesome product. Remove my phone from the bedroom and have been sleeping better. Alarm is great. Only thing I am having to get used to is the alarm on/ off button. It's on the back of the clock and takes some getting used to manipulate.
Great, simple, and quiet analog like clock. Only upgrades i would add would be easier access to alarm switch and a battery indicator to let you know when to swap the battery. A simple red led when the voltage gets to a certain point would be great.

Clock started losing time after 6 months of use

Initially liked this clock. You can’t be super specific on the wake up time but you can get close. 6 months in, it wasn’t waking anyone up on time. Put in a new battery and still not. Realized it’s losing time. Slowly. But enough to lose a good hour overnight and that doesn’t work for getting us to school and work on time. I reached out to Bagby customer service who initially sent me the insulting reply to put a new battery in. Duh. I replied we had done that. Now they want me to use my nonexistent free time to make them videos of THEIR defective product. So, I’m literally taking time away from my full time job, my kids, caring for my aging mother with Alzheimer’s and my many other responsibilities to tell you to AVOID not only this alarm clock but this company who is painfully out of touch on how to treat their customers. Send me a label and I’ll send it back and you can see for yourself! No one is making up useless nonsense to try to get free alarm clocks. We all have better things to do with our time.
