Giving Back during COVID-19

masks profits donated

As a family-run business, we have always felt so connected to and thankful for the Bagby community—in many ways you’re an extension of our own family. For this reason and amid the COVID-19 anxiety and uncertainty, we at Bagby, want to support and give back to those working hard during helping others.

WHO WE ARE DONATING THE PROFITS FROM OUR MASKS AND WHY

1- COMMONSENSE MEDIA (GLOBAL)

WHO?
Common Sense is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids thrive in a world of media and technology.

WHY?
Our kids are on the front lines of a digital revolution. Devices, social networks, and media are changing childhood in radical ways. We all want kids to grow up healthy and happy as the world accelerates around them.
In their 15-year history, Common Sense has helped hundreds of millions of parents, teachers, and policymakers navigate this accelerating landscape. Today, their mission to ensure kids' digital well-being is more relevant and vital than ever.

HOW?
After talking to them we are thrilled to announce that we will be donating our profits to help them continue the amazing work they are doing with parents, families and educators.

2- TEMPLE BAPTIST SCHOOL AND DAY CARE (LOCAL)

WHO?
This is the day care we took our daughter here in Raleigh.
The Day School program of Temple Baptist Church is designed to provide an atmosphere in which all children can develop spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally, and morally to their utmost potential.

WHY?
Besides they have been always great with our family; during COVID-19 they had to close but they were opened to help Care and Health Providers and Essential Workers. We are aware how challenging (fewer resources) but necessary this service is so we truly feel committed to help them achieve their mission.

HOW?
We will be donating the profits to help them continue the vital work they are doing to navigate this crisis.

3- OUR SMALL WORKSHOP IN ARGENTINA (THE MAKERS)

WHO?
Our small workshop in Argentina that we have partnered with and handmade our products since inception (2017).

Handmade in Argentina

WHY?

Our friends from the workshop in Argentina that handmade our products are in need of help. During COVID-19, they have seen a substantial decrease in their orders and it's has been more challenging than ever to source the right materials. Also, the local economy is suffering from the fluctuation of their local currency against the powerful American dollar.

HOW?
Our masks are Fair Trade and support local economy, based on dialogue, transparency and respect, always seeking greater equity. It contributes to sustainable development by offering better trading conditions. We accept producer price without any negotiation.

OVER TO YOU.
Supporting our global and local communities together when they need it most. Thank you in advance so we can help together.
