FAQ
Helpful answers to the most common questions
I'm new to analog (digital-free) products. How do they work?
Welcome back to analog times. It may feel harder to adjust to at the beginning, but it pays off in the long run. For this reason, we have put together this informative page with recommendations on how to set the time, the alarm, and any little information you might think of.
What does the alarm sound like?
Our only goal is to provide a digital-free sleep so that you can start your day in a more mindful way.
We know, it's all about BALANCE. The best solution is always found in the intersection between the two worlds (old & new). This is why we manage to elevate and make a mindful version of the traditional alarm clock.
Some people might prefer white noise or a meditation sound but, let's be honest, you still need to wake up. Also, we don't want an alarm clock that is connected to our phone. If the point is to remove the phone from the bedroom, let's be honest again, it's quite paradoxical.
The alarm has a gentle beeping sound. The ascending / progressive alarm begins to sound faintly and then grows increasingly louder to gently wake up. It's simple, intentional and effective. Check alarm sound here.
What does SILENT means? How do I wake up then?
Silent refers to the clock mechanism which means there is no ticking noise. This is a "sweep" movement (silent) vs a "step" movement (tick-tock sound).
Gentle sound refers to the alarm sound which means that the alarm sound is not super loud (like an old traditional clock) so you can wake up in a good mood.
We have analyzed and explored many options to ensure our clock is exactly what people need.
How long will it take to get my orders?
We ship all our orders from USA, specifically from North Carolina. It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 2-5 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 8-20 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
What is your return policy?
Our clients have always kept their orders and loved them. We don't often receive any refund request but if you don't like your Bagby item, we offer easy returns.
- Contact us and ship items back within 30 days of delivery.
- If the item you received is damaged (for example due to the shipping) or doesn't work properly, you can ask for a refund and we will take care of everything. If you want to request a refund or a return for a subjective reason, we can do it, but we will deduct the return cost + the original shipping cost (if it was free) from the total amount.
How can I see the time at night?
This clock has no annoying lights or glowing hands so you can sleep deeper. There is a button on the back for you to light up the dial on the clock to see the time only when you need to.
What type of batteries do these clocks use?
This clock uses 1 AA battery (It can last between 12 - 24 months depending on the battery brand). We believe this is better than a clock plugged in with a cable so you can use it anywhere.
We require only carbon-zinc batteries because alkaline batteries are more powerful and have high voltage, which could damage the clock movement.
What is the amount of EMFs emitted from these clocks?
Our clocks offer one of the lowest EMF radiations in the market. They are battery-operated, which makes them able to be 100% digital-free. They require no Wi-Fi signal, are not connected to any phone or digital devices, and emit no constant light—only by a button that you can press for light.
While we are not fully positioned or an expert on EMF (Our values are more around the idea of phone-free benefits, going back to analog times and the importance of human time), we measured our clocks and emit approximately 4-6 mG of radiation up to 2-4 feet away. While not being 100% EMF free, this is lower than 95% of the clocks in the market and the distance of 2-4 feet would cover most scenarios. They are also lower than most because these used only one AA battery. Some clocks in the market claim low radiation but they use up to 3 AA batteries. To be frank with you, the EMF industry is quite new and most research has been contradictory, including the EMF meter detector veracity.
If you are looking for a full or even lower EMF radiation clock, I would recommend finding a wind-up clock. In your clock research I would also suggest to look at the blue light element.
